VoIP headsets are a useful accessory for anyone that uses a phone on a daily basis. It could be that you are responsible for answering all incoming calls or just that you are in a busy office and want to simply block out more of the background noise. Whatever the reason we have some great options available.
The VoIP headsets we offer come in two main types, wired or wireless. As the names imply the wired headsets generally come with extended cables to allow some movement but are generally intended for use while at your desk. They come with a Quick Disconnect cable to allow you to keep your headset in place when you leave your desk but at that point you are no longer connected. The wireless types allow more mobility and freedom. This option is more expensive but generally good for those that require the ability to continue talking on the phone while moving around the office area.

Once you have decided which type you need then the next step is to choose the style of the headset. Options include single and dual ear models as well as a convertible eartip style headset. The single ear models are good if you ned to keep one ear on what is happening in the office. The dual ear models are great for those that want more privacy and to block out background noise while on a call to reduce distractions.

Now that you know the basics for choosing the right VoIP headset browse through our selection of recommended headsets below, which are ordered from the lowest priced to the highest priced.
If you have existing headsets please contact us to check compatibility with the Yealink IP phones we support. Use the form at the end to contact us with questions or reach out directly to your account manager if you are an existing customer.
The Yealink YHS34 is an over-the-head style wired headset compatible with all Yealink IP phones that have an RJ9 headset connector (almost all models have this). A Quick Disconnect (QD) cable is included to allow for times when you need to leave your desk. The two piece QD cable is 2.1 meters long in total (approx 7ft). The YHS34 is available as a dual headset or as a mono headset. Soft leather ear cushions and a lightweight design provide for all day wearing comfort.
The Yealink YHS36 is an over-the-head style wired headset similar to the YHS34 models that also utilizes the standard RJ9 headset connector available on most Yealink IP phones. The Quick Disconnect cable provides for an easy disconnect when you need to step away from your desk. This model also comes in a mono and dual ear version. The mono version is great for keeping one ear on whats happening in the office and the dual version is great for those that want to keep background noise to a minimum.
The Yealink UH36 is a similar headset design to the YHS36 and available in both mono and dual ear versions. The main differences between the YHS36 and this model is that the UH36 can connect to Yealink IP phones, computers, laptops, tablets and cell phones. It also provides the option for enhanced functions such as redial, call hold, volume synchronization, and multiple call control (when used with the correct IP phone firmware, version 85 and higher).
A USB-A connector is provided for connecting to compatible Yealink IP phones that include a USB connector option, such as the T4 and T5 series. The USB connector can also be used with computer devices for use with Softphones or other computer based audio applications. A 3.5mm audio jack is available to connect to smart devices such as cell phones. This jack connector also acts as a quick disconnect and connects to a small controller with 5 buttons, which provide call control ability. There is a answer/reject/end call button, a mute button, a voice assistant button (Cortana), plus a volume up and a volume down button.
The Yealink WH62 is an over-the-head style DECT wireless headset, available in either mono or dual ear configurations. The DECT wireless technology provides up to 160m (525ft) of range and the battery provides up to 14 hours talk time and up to 125 hours of standby time. An integrated busylight LED in the headset provides an indication to others when you are busy on a call to help reduce distractions and interruptions.
Dual USB ports on the WH62 base unit provides dual connectivity to a phone and a PC (for Softphone) simultaneously. Two USB cables are provided with the base, one for connecting to the phone and one for using to connect a PC if required. The connection to the phone is via a USB connector so currently only Yealink IP phones with a USB connector are compatible. However it is a direct connection with no lifter or EHS device required for those models. This headset can be used with the T3 series with the addition of a EHS35 cable adapter. However, these are currently not available.
Buttons on the base allow you to answer a call from the Yealink IP phone or PC softphone. The headset has volume up/down buttons, a mute button and a call control button (answer/end/reject a call). The call control button on the headset allows you to answer calls directly from your headset, making answering calls easy while away from your desk. This is all done with native integration with the Yealink IP phones and no lifter or EHS device is required. You can also move the microphone boom up to automatically activate the mute feature during a call.
The Yealink WH63 is a convertible DECT wireless headset that has four different wearing style options. In its simplest form this headset fits into a single ear. Included with the headset are two other wearing options, an earhook and a headband. A fourth option, a neckband, is available as an accessory. These options simply connect to the main eartip in seconds to create a wearing style that suits your needs at that time. This is a very lightweight design weighing in at only 19 grams.
The WH63 base has the same functions and features as the WH62 base. It can connect to two devices simultaneously (two USB ports), acts as a charging stand, has call control buttons, and allows for a direct connection to the phone with no EHS36 or lifter devices needed.
The Yealink WH63 boasts a wireless range of up to 120m (394ft). The battery provides up to 8 hours talk time and up to 54 hours of standby time. Like the WH62 the headset has an integrated busylight LED indicator to help reduce distractions and interruptions while on a call. The WH63 also supports the optional BLT60 busylight accessory.
Connection to the phone is via USB so that means it is only compatible with Yealink IP phones that include the USB port, such as the T4 and T5 series phones.
The Yealink WH66 DECT wireless headsets are similar in design to the headsets of the WH62 series except there is only a dual ear version currently available. That means similar specs such as 160m (525ft) wireless range, up to 14 hours talktime, up to 125 hours standby time, and call control controls on the headsets themselves.
The base is where most of the differences come into play. The WH66 has a 4 inch touch console that allows you to control functions such as call answering, call hold, mute, and switching to speaker mode. The base is also equipped with a full duplex hands free speaker phone, allowing you to switch a call from a private conversation to a public conversation for others to be involved as needed.
The base includes a single USB connection plus a built-in USB 3.0 hub providing two ports. Bluetooth is built-in to the base and allows up to two device connections at any one time, and will hold up to 8 pairings. A mobile charging stand (WHC60) is available as an optional accessory, see the image below, for mobile phones that support wireless charging. These additional features help declutter your workspace. The optional busylight BLT60 is also available for this model.
Connection to an IP phone is either by using the USB connector and cable or via Bluetooth. If using Bluetooth then some Yealink IP phones that do not have built-in Bluetooth will require the BT50 dongle. Regardless of method this headset will only be compatible with a Yealink phone that has a USB port or built-in Bluetooth, such as the T4 and T5 series.
The Yealink WH67 includes the WH63 convertible DECT wireless headset that has four different wearing style options, plus the additional features of the WH66 base.
As per the WH63 the headset has a wireless range of up to 120m (394ft), as well as a battery that can provide up to 8 hours talktime, and up to 54 hours of standby time. The WH67 is supplied with the earhook and headband wearing styles that can be easily connected to suit your wearing needs. The headset also has an integrated busylight LED indicator and call control buttons.
The base provides a 4 inch touch screen allowing various call control functions. A speakerphone mode is also built-in for those times you need to share a call with others in the office. There is a 2 port USB hub included which can turn your one USB computer port into two ports, if you connect the main USB port to your computer. Bluetooth is built-in for connecting up to two devices simultaneously, and it can hold up to 8 pairings.
The following provides a few optional accessories that are compatible with some headsets listed above.
The BLT60 is an external busylight accessory that lights up red during an active call, providing a visual indicator to other people in the office that you are busy on a phone call. It also blinks red when there is an incoming call, providing a visual indicator your phone has an incoming call. This can be a useful accessory in busy offices.
The busylight comes with an 1.8m (6ft) long cable which is used to connect to the WH62, WH63, WH66, and WH67 model bases. The busylight can be installed on your computer display or on the edge of your desk, wherever makes sense for visual presence.
The WHC60 is a Qi wireless charger accessory that can be connected to the WH66 and WH67 headset bases. It provides a convenient wireless charger for Smartphones that include that feature. It also helps provide a place to hold your Smartphone during the day while at your desk, while conveniently keeping it charged.
The angle of the charger can be adjusted to suit your needs. Your Smartphone can be connected via Bluetooth to the WH66/67 headsets integrating your Smartphone calls with your headset.
